A World Fallen
But Forgotten Not Yet
I wake my clothes damp and wet.
I stand in a world fallen but forgotten not yet.
The sky is filled with smoke and ash.
This world feels broken and thrashed.
Waiting to hear a saving voice,
a living breath,
In this world fallen but forgotten not yet
The world crumbles,
and the world shakes.
Deserted and Destroyed,
the world I once loved turns to hate.
Brothers and sisters turn away,
not wanting to stay.
For the truth is not what they want
so all they do is hate.
Now I stand at the stake
Because of the truths they wouldn’t take!
They laugh and state
“Where is the one who you followed? When
you needed him most he turned away.” Fire
nips my flesh and my soul screams, “No
matter what they state,
He will protect me,
He will guide me.”
As the world crumbled,
the world fell.
But high in his throne above,
Our God surrounds us with abundant love.
