BUGIS CHURCH PLANTING

In 2010, God placed on our heart to share the gospel with the Tribe of the Bugis. They are the largest tribe in South Sulawesi with over 6 million people and less that 0.01% are followers of Jesus. For centuries those in power have been resistant to anything foreign, and thus have not allowed people to have access to the Gospel.

For the last 17yrs we have been praying and slowly seeing a softening of hearts in places across South Sulawesi. We have been partnering with Indonesian Pastors and Bible School graduates that the Lord has been calling to church plant among those who previously had never met a christian, read a Bible or heard of a church.

A Church Plant in South Sulawesi takes somewhere between $15,000 and $20,000 to buy land and build. It also take a commitment to intercede and pray. These areas are usually 100% Muslim, and our church planters families can be a target for violence. Please give and pray with us!
